The short version

Fauna collects nothing at all from children. There is no sign-in anywhere in the app, and nothing in it for a child to type. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking of any kind. Your child's progress is stored on their own device and works completely offline.

There are no accounts of any kind — not for children, not for parents. We operate no server that stores anything about you, so there is no copy of your child's progress anywhere but their own device.

Who we are

Fauna is published by RipeSeed. For anything in this policy, write to support@ripeseed.io.

What we collect from children

Nothing. We do not ask for, collect, infer or transmit a child's name, age, birthday, email, photograph, voice, location, contacts, or any identifier that could be used to recognise them across apps or services.

The app has no login for children, no chat, no comments, no user-generated content, no leaderboards against other people, and no way for a child to contact anyone through it.

What stays on the device

As your child uses Fauna, the app records their progress locally on the device so it is still there next time. That record contains:

None of this identifies anyone. It never leaves the device. There is nowhere for it to go: Fauna has no account, no login and no server of its own. Deleting the app deletes it.

We store nothing describing your child — anywhere. Not a name, age, birthday, photo, voice, location, or device identifier. This is not a promise about how carefully we handle a database; there is no database. Nothing about your child is ever sent to us, because there is no "us" for it to be sent to.

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking

Fauna contains no ad networks and shows no advertising of any kind. It contains no third-party analytics SDKs. We do not access the advertising identifier, we do not build profiles, and we do not do behavioural advertising in any form. We do not sell or share personal information, and there is nothing here to sell.

Purchases

Fauna offers one optional, one-time purchase that opens the remaining questions. It is not a subscription.

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or receive your card details. To know whether a purchase has been made — so the app can unlock the content you paid for and restore it on a new device — we use RevenueCat, which processes the store's receipt on our behalf. Every route into a purchase, including "restore purchase", sits behind the parents area.

Children's privacy and COPPA

Fauna is designed for children and is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent rules elsewhere, including the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and GDPR-K.

Because we collect no personal information from children, there is no verifiable parental consent to obtain for a child's data, and no child data to review, correct or delete. Where a decision belongs to an adult — purchases, settings, and every outbound link — it sits behind a parents area protected by a randomly generated arithmetic question that a young child cannot pass by tapping.

How long we keep things

We keep nothing, so there is nothing to expire. Your child's progress lasts on their device until it is reset in the parents area, or until the app is deleted — both of which are entirely in your hands. See deleting your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the information held about you, and to withdraw consent. We hold no information about you or your child to access, correct, export or delete — so in practice these rights are already satisfied. If you want that confirmed in writing, or have any question about this policy, write to support@ripeseed.io and we will respond within 30 days.

Where data is processed

Nowhere. Fauna has no servers and no database, so your child's progress is processed only on their own device. The single third party involved at all is RevenueCat, which checks the store receipt if you make a purchase, as described above — it never receives anything about your child.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change ever materially affects what we collect, we will say so clearly in the app before it takes effect.
